Description
The 7th Annual Austin Spring Home & Garden Show will be abloom with fresh ideas, Do-It-Yourself seminars and professional advice from kitchen to curb at the Austin Convention Center Friday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 4th. Industry experts, celebrities and family activities are offered throughout the weekend, with amazing displays, interactive seminars and advice on even the most challenging home improvement questions. On Saturday and Sunday, guests will be offered the insight of Bob Guiney, from HGTV’s Showhouse Showdown. Based on the Irish format by the same name, Showhouse Showdown is a competition between two professional interior designers who take over two newly-built and identical homes or townhomes with identical budgets to create a winning interior design. At the end of each episode one designer is voted the winner by members of the public. Bob will be presenting seminars and answering questions live from the audience. The Home & Garden Show also offers fun and activities throughout the weekend for the entire family. Culinary enthusiasts can enjoy live cooking demonstrations by local chefs including Heather Hunsaker of Kitchen Concoctions, kids can play safely in an interactive ‘Kids Zone’ with a cooking class of their own, and everyone can meet (and potentially take home) some furry friends in the ‘pet zone’, hosted by the Austin Human Society. Guests can also find unique and delicious treats for sale at the Art, Gift and Gourmet center.
